New residential service
- Submit request at least two business days before desired connection date.
- After applying online, expect a customer service representative to contact you.

Past-due risk
CCUA’s FAQ says bills are due before the due date printed on the bill. Payments received after the due date can be subject to a late charge, and a past-due bill can cause disconnection and additional service charges.
Deposits
Effective October 1, 2025, CCUA lists initial deposits per ERC as $25 water, $50 wastewater and $25 reuse. Customers without SSN are listed at $50 water, $100 wastewater and $50 reuse.
Extra deposit risk
CCUA says a security deposit is required for all new accounts, including transfers and existing accounts that become delinquent and require a field visit. An additional deposit is required for accounts disconnected twice in one 12-month period.

CCUA’s 2025/2026 rates began in October 2025. The adopted increase was 3.75% for residential and commercial potable water, sewer and reuse base/usage charges, plus a 3% increase for the Alternative Water Supply surcharge.

Leak credit
CCUA says customers may qualify for a credit after an unusually high bill caused by a severe water leak when proof of repair is provided and the situation meets policy criteria.
Pool fill credit
Pool-fill credit applies to wastewater charges for one fill per calendar year. Written requests must be submitted no later than 30 days after completion of filling.
Sod credit
New sod credit may apply if at least one pallet of sod was installed, no sod credit was issued in the last five years, and a Water Conservation Assessment is scheduled within 30 days.
