Same-day not guaranteed

Call before paying late

Past-due customers should use online or automated phone payment and call if account review is needed.

High Bill, Leak, Pool Fill or Lawn Replacement Adjustment

🧾

2025 adjustment rule

Effective October 1, 2025, Orange County’s approved excessive water consumption adjustment process may apply to all customers with 5/8 x 3/4 inch meters and all residential customers regardless of meter size.

60-day deadline

The correct form and documentation must be submitted within 60 days of the date of unusually high consumption.

🔎

County review required

Orange County Utilities staff must investigate and verify before adjustment approval.

High-consumption cause
Official form path
Evidence to prepare
Leak
Repair invoice, plumber note, photos, parts receipt, repair date, bill showing spike.
Pool fill
Pool size, fill date, reason, bill period, service address.
Residential lawn replacement

Consider water irrigation meter application where available.
Automated irrigation system details, plumbing permit path, meter application.
Reclaimed water available
Call 407-836-5515 to ask about reclaimed service.
Address, irrigation need, HOA/community details, reclaimed availability question.

Irrigation meter tip: Orange County says a water irrigation meter may reduce a bill for customers receiving water and wastewater services with automated irrigation because wastewater rate is not charged for water used on the lawn.

Adjustment script: “My bill shows unusually high consumption for [service address] during [bill period]. The cause was [leak/pool fill/lawn replacement/other]. I have [repair invoice/photos/receipts]. Which adjustment form should I submit, and am I still within the 60-day deadline?”
